The hot summer sun beats down on the animals. The animals of the city try to stay of the asphalt roads to protect their feet. Water is scarce all around, but needed more than ever.

A large clear lake filled with many sorts of fish. The animals called it Silver Lake because of how the moonlight reflects off of it during the night.
In this land the trees are so dense that barely any other plants manage to sprout beneath their blanket of shade. There is little prey here but offers cool shade on hot days.
A bubbling mess of sulfuric ooze. Very few animals dare go here for the water is thick and acidic. The air is stagnant and rotten and the temperatures in summer can reach extreme heights thanks to the sulfuric acid in the sludgy water.
A large windy area of lolling hills, tall grasses, and wildflowers. The main inhabitants of this land are the gophers which serve as a staple in the diet of the animals who live here.
This is your standard woods. Prey is easily found as well as den sites and fresh water from creeks. The only dangers are owls, foxes, and the occasional coyote.
A grassy plain plagued by groundhog holes and vermin. The prey is plentiful, but hard to catch due to the underground pathways made by groundhogs and prairie dogs alike. Some animals here (usually the felines) will make birthing dens out of abandoned rodent holes. Those brave enough to live and hunt on this land face cat-sized rodents, snakes, and seasonal flooding.
