Putting a character up for adoption
There are three reasons you could do this, one: being to get rid of a character no longer desired, two: putting young up for adoption, or three: putting a character needed for a planned plot up for adoption.
To put up a character no longer desired simply copy and paste your character biography to a new topic in the adoption thread. Make sure you delete the characters bio from the character creation thread. We don't accept character theft and will assure you all characters you put up for adoption with be credited to you in some way.
Kits and Pups adoption pages will be handled by staff so you have no problems with that. Young adoptions will be done in the Mating and Young adoption board.
Your third option is to specifically make a character to put up for adoption. This does not mean you can spew out characters just to spam the adoption board with. You may only make characters specifically to be adopted if it is needed for a plot, or if your character has living relatives you want on the site. Having a character with five siblings and two parents does not mean you can post them into the adoption board all at once. You have a maximum limit of two adoption characters at a time. So if you need four positions filled for a plot, you can make two of those characters bio's and wait till they are adopted. Once one is you can fill it's space with another.
Adopting
Adopting a character is way to get character fast without needing to create them yourself. You could also adopt a pup or kit and only have to give it a personality and update it's history as you play.
To adopt an already made character simply reply to that characters biography topic with a short role-play example. If you are approved I will send you a code with the characters biography through pm. Post the biography into the character creation board. You may NOT alter this biography without permission from the original owner. If you want to alter it you must have the original owner post onto the bio giving you permission. To keep from getting you biography declined while waiting put (WIP) somewhere in the topic's title. Once the original owner has given you permission you may remove the (WIP) from you title.
To adopt a puppy or kit you must fill in a biography for them as a response. The code will already be on the adoption page for quick access. You cannot change the characters appearance, breed, species, origin, gender, disabilities, or illnesses. If the parent characters owner gives the Kits/pups a name you may not rename them. If one of the parents and a staff member accepts your entry you may post their bio in the character creation board. Young adoptions will be done in the Mating and Young adoption board.
