The punishment (Ahanu x Matisse plot part 2)

Little to the felines knowing Tuwa had spotted their exchange. She watched as the skilled hunter gave some of the clan's prey away. Some pretty female, probably a former house pet. She snarled in disgust, looking down at them from a top a high hill. Ahanu was not aware of her presence. She waited for the female to be far away and the male to be closer before approaching. With a powerful stride she stalked over to the tom, not letting herself be revealed till she stood on a rock just above him, "Ahanu you traitor what have you to say for yourself!" She demanded sternly. She looked over his hairless shivering body, now tense with surprise and fear. "Actually I don't want to hear it, nothing you have to say matters. You've committed a crime and must suffer the consequences. Your brother will be most angered with your actions."

Ahanu stuttered in shock, how had she spotted him?! "I uh..I..." he was cut off abruptly, Tuwa was known for that. She demanding you to listen to her and liked to talk. Telling you things you already knew and already expected. Not letting you explain yourself and wishing to get you in more trouble than you deserve. He listened to her rant, she loved getting him in trouble cause he was brother to their chief. Her precious never to be crush. He knew she was leading him back to camp to make him face his brother for his 'crimes', the clan was much more peaceful before he took control.

"You better come with me. Don't forget that prey, and make sure ALL of it makes it to the clan this time." Tuwa hissed. She drug him by the scruff part way making sure he knew she meant business, even if no one would dare defy her. Walking quickly she set towards camp, knowing Ahanu could do nothing but follow blindly to meet his fate.

They reached the camp in record time, she hadn't broke a sweat or felt an inch of weariness. She marched straight towards the chief's den, "Takuskan! Takuskan may I have a word. Your brother has got himself in quite a bit of trouble sir."

He knew Tuwa would be like this, she liked to rub your mistakes in your face. As he began to picked up the prey her fangs quickly sunk into his nape, he held back a his and was drug a foot towards the camp before dropped and expected to walk. He bore a glare into her back as she walked away.

The walk home was silent and uncomfortable, not to mention cold. He shivered and wished to stop and lick his freezing paws but knew that Tuwa wouldn't permit it. She was the least caring cat in the clan, probably would make a horrid mother. By time they reached camp his pads had cracked, bled, and froze again making walking quite painful. Many eyes peered at him and Tuwa questioningly. They knew he must of been caught in the storm and was just now making his way back, but why was Tuwa escorting him they must of wandered. He never did anything bad his whole life. Well besides the typical kitten mischief. As the approached the den butterflies swarm in his stomach. Tuwa called out to his brother, and he waited for the wrath that was certain to befall him.

Takuskan was enjoying a quick nap in his warm den, protected from the harsh cold outside. The tom suddenly woke up as he heard a voice calling him. He recognized it was Tuwa's voice , a female hunter from his clan. She had a major crush on him, he could tell. She only did things he asked her to do and she listened to everything he said. Although she could be annoying at times, she was loyal to him so he respected her.
As he walked out to the edge of the cave, he saw Tuwa dragging his brother by the neck. Ahanu? What has the fool done this time? Takuskan had a distaste for his brother, his ignorance bothered and annoyed him. "Ahanu? What has he done?"

Tuwa was glad the chief responded so quickly and didn't hesitate to spill the beans. Even if what Ahanu had done wasn't a crime he knew that Takuskan disliked his younger brother and would punish him none the less. "He was exchanging words, and prey mind you, with someone outside the legacy. A pretty white female. Possibly a past house cat by the looks of her. Out of his bundle of prey he gave one to her. Even touched her nose to his in a sign of friendship. I don't know what had gone of before I arrived, or what words were passed, but I'm sure it wasn't anything good."

Ahanu dropped the prey he had at his feet. He knew he was in for it. Other clan members seemed to gather in close to listen to the encounter. He grew tense but showed no sign of weakness, he hadn't done anything wrong. Matisse rightfully owned half this prey that she caught for his clan. Though he knew they'd never believe it, never listen. He wouldn't even be given a chance to explain his side of the story and he knew it. So he didn't try to speak, just kept his head low and his ears to his skull. He wasn't a fighter, not by words or by physical means. He was a hunter and a scout. He fed and worked for the clan and knew his place. Even if he would argue he wouldn't of been intelligent enough to win. He knew his only option was to take his punishment.

Takuskan smirked as many began to crowd around the scene. He personally didn't think sharing a bit of food with a loner was a crime, but this was the perfect opportunity to embarrass his brother. "So, Ahanu, you think a pretty house cat is more important than your clan's hunger? How disrespectful. Or perhaps you were exchanging words with another clan? I'm afraid you will have to be punished. Yuwa, what do you think my dear brother's punishment should be?"

Tuwa was surprised that Takuskan allowed her to choose the punishment, taken aback she stumbled over her words a bit, "me..i uh.." after a minute she regained her confidence and found her voice, "right, he shouldn't be allowed to leave camp so that he can't give any more our of food away. for.." She paused trying to think, hoping the growing audience would think she did it for dramatic effect. "three days. Ahanu can't leave camp for three days under any circumstances!"

Ahuna was distraught, three days! He couldn't be stuck in camp for three days! He was supposed to meet Matisse tomorrow! "I can't stay is camp..who will feed the clan!..I'm the best hunter, I find most our food supply!" He didn't mean to make an outburst, knowing it will only sink him into a deeper hole. Along with staying in camp they'll probably give him a chore while he's here.

Takuskan was taken aback that Tuwa chose such a harsh punishment. Before he could even respond, Ahanu shot back that it was unfair. "Quiet Ahanu, you have no right to talk back. It is not up to you to choose your punishment. Or do you want to get into more trouble?" the tom snapped at his brother. He turned to Tuwa. "Yes, three days sounds good. We have plenty of great hunters who can substitute for Ahanu, including you, Tuwa."

Tuwa was flattered by her chief's compliment and felt her skin grow hot. If it wasn't for the red fur covering her body she would of been red with blush. She did good for her clan, for her chief. She held her head high and glared down at Ahanu, "Thank you Takuskan. I'll keep the clan fed well."

The scarlet cat looked smug as Takuskan complimented her. "I completely trust you, Tuwa." Takuskan smiled slightly at the she-cat. "It is official. I, Takuskan Mahka, sentence Ahanu Mahka to three days in camp for the crime of conveying with enemies and giving away our precious food. the tom announced to the whole clan, who had gathered around the scene around his den. They all started to snicker at the chief's brother. Takuskan would join in but he needed to stay serious. "Tuwa, go fetch someone to stay with Ahanu and watch over him. After that, you are to go back to hunting." he told the female hunter before turning to his den, ready to go back to his nap.
